Spencer Austin has served as the Administrative Specialist for the UNT Department of Sociology since September 2022. He holds a BA in History from UNT, an MA in History from SUNY Stony Brook, and is currently a PhD candidate at SUNY Stony Brook, focusing on 19th-century French social movements. Spencer provides administrative support services for department faculty and staff and helps manage the operations of the graduate program, along with a variety of other responsibilities. In his free time, he works on his doctoral dissertation, enjoys movies with his wife, cares for his many houseplants, and takes long walks with his dogs.
