Research Interests: Curtis Joseph studies the sociology of race and ethnic stratification, guided by his personal experiences as an impecunious black man from Trinidad. His work focuses on white racial attitudes and his master's thesis explored the racial principle-policy gap that distinguishes between espoused tolerant racial attitudes and the commitment to supporting ameliorative policies. Through his research, he is committed to advancing greater racial equity.
