Doctoral Dissertation Title: “Tubes Tied: A Qualitative Study on Low-Income Women on Medicaid Opting in for Sterilization Procedures in Post-Roe Texas”

Master’s Thesis Title: “Coercion and Consent Among Employer-Sponsored and Dependent Visa Holders: A Study of Indian Workers in the US Information Technology Sector”

Research Interests: Neha is a Doctoral Student and a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas Sociology Department. Her research areas include organizations, occupations & work (OOW), reproductive health, and medical sociology. Currently, she is working on her dissertation, a research study that examines the sterilization decision-making of low-income women on Medicaid in post-Roe Texas. Using in-depth interviews, shadowing, historical, and quantitative methods to examine sterilization, the research looks at these individual decision-making processes within the context of structural inequalities that shape access, care, and reproductive autonomy.
