Katie Stinson is the Virtual Engagement Strategist for the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) Resource Center (RC) located within the University of North Texas Health Science Center. NRMN is an NIH grant funded initiative to diversify the STEM and research workforce. As Virtual Engagement Strategist, Katie works under the Principal Investigator of the NRMN-RC to manage recruitment, engagement, user support, and research of NRMN's diverse virtual community, MyNRMN.

Katie completed both a Bachelors in Journalism with minors in English and Marketing and a Masters in Library and Information Science with an emphasis in Health Informatics at the University of North Texas. As a Sociology graduate student at UNT, Katie is studying Health, Illness, and Aging and pursuing research for the biomedical research workforce as well as health disparities.
