Biography: Dr. Helen Potts has experience teaching over twenty Sociology courses in online, hybrid, and face-to-face environments. In addition to her teaching duties, Dr. Potts is also the Sociology Faculty Advisor and the GradTrack Director and Advisor. As such, she often meets with undergraduate students to help them declare their Sociology major and plan out their course schedule for the upcoming semester. Recently, she has partnered with faculty outside of UNT to work on a grant investigating the misconceptions of gangs and terrorism among police cadets in South Texas.

Courses: Dr. Potts teaches many Sociology courses for UNT, including Introduction to Sociology, Sociology of Mental Health, Sociology of Work, Social Psychology, and Special Problems.
