Professor Michael Niño, sociology, is the recipient of a 2018 Woodrow Wilson Career Enhancement Fellowship for Junior Faculty. He's one of 30 professors nationwide to receive the fellowship. He'll use the fellowship for research projects that separate the effects of various acculturative beliefs, behaviors and other structural mechanisms (e.g. racism/discrimination, SES, and neighborhood composition) on cardiovascular risk among Latina/os, using data from the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos. Congratulations, Michael!
